Queensland Government is providing free Flu Vaccinations for all Queenslanders 6 months of age and over and stock is available!
Flu Clinics are now open for patients to book in for their flu shot.
**The Flu Vaccine clinic is for all Radius patients from 6 months of age and over for the Influenza Vaccination only.**
If you require a script, referral or results, please book another appointment with your regular GP.

PERTUSSIS (WHOOPING COUGH), INFLUENZA AND COVID OUTBREAKS

Due to ongoing outbreaks of Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Influenza and COVID in our community, we request that any actively coughing patients are to wait in their car or outside until their GP phones them upon commencement of their appointment.

All patients with respiratory symptoms are also asked to wear a face mask.

We thank you for your cooperation in keeping our Doctors, Nurses, Admin team and Patients safe.

Due to increase in costs Albany Hills Radius Medical Centre has had to increase fees from January 1 2024.
Our fees still however, remain below AMA recommended fees.

FACE MASKS

The following applies to all Radius patients 12 years and older.

• Masks are not required to be worn inside the Centre but can be worn by individual choice.
• Patients with respiratory symptoms must wear a mask if entering the Centre.
• Patients must wear a mask for 7 days after testing positive to COVID if entering the Centre.

ARE YOU REGISTERED FOR THE MEDICARE SAFETY NET?

We encourage all our patients that form part of a family or couple to register for the Medicare safety net in order to receive higher Medicare benefits once you reach the threshold.

DO YOU HAVE AN APPOINTMENT AND HAVE TESTED POSITIVE TO COVID IN THE LAST 7 DAYS?

If you have tested positive to COVID in the last 7 days, please notify Reception staff and wait outside or in your car for your Doctor to start your appointment as a phone call.
Please remember all health staff are still required to isolate for 7 days if tested positive to COVID, so please help us keep staffing available to treat you and your family.

INFORMATION REGARDING LONG TELEHEALTH APPOINTMENT

The Government only rebates short (less than 20 minutes) telehealth consultations, so if your telehealth consultation lasts longer than 20 minutes, your government rebate will still only provide the shorter consult rebate.
Please be aware that we are unable to provide long telehealth consultations for DVA patients, unless it is for mental health matters.

On arrival, please advise Reception if you have an Aged Pension or Concession Card and any change in address or contact details.

ANTI-VIRAL TREATMENT

If you are wanting consideration for anti-viral treatment to help stop COVID-19 infection from becoming more severe, you are required to make a telehealth appointment with your GP.  This often requires a long telehealth appointment.  To book an appointment online, please go to our “Book now” tab and click on “Telehealth COVID ASSESSMENT & MANAGEMENT”.
For assistance after hours when the Practice is closed, please call the Virtual Ward on 1300 847 833.

*IMPORTANT PATIENT MESSAGE RE TELEHEALTH APPOINTMENTS*

Due to Medicare guidelines to be eligible for a Telehealth consult rebate, you are required to have had a face to face consult with one of our GPs in the last 12 months.

We remain dedicated to keeping you safe throughout the entire COVID-19 challenge.

*Please note that credit/debit card details are required at the time of booking to process billing at the conclusion of your telehealth consultation.*

Sometimes our GPs are delayed by patients with urgent or complex issues.
We apologise if you’re asked to wait and thank you for your patience.

If a telehealth appointment has been booked, we please ask that you have your mobile phone with you at your allocated appointment time. If the Doctor’s phone call is not answered at this time or within 1 hour from the appointment time, then a non-attendance fee of the full consultation fee may be applicable.
